Looking for an acting school in Seattle that’s open to beginners, but also has classes for more experienced actors?

Seattle Acting Institute is an independent educational program based in Seattle, Washington, established in 2002. Our mandate is to provide high-quality training and instruction at an affordable tuition. (Our enrollments are being handled by our friends at Rekindle School.)

    • Our Improv and Acting classes are for teenagers and adult students 17 and older.
    • Stand-Up Comedy is for adult students 21 and older, due to the performances being in a venue that serves alcohol.)

  • Our acting and improv classes meet at Phinney Neighborhood Center (near Green Lake in north Seattle).
  • Our Stand-Up Comedy classes meet at several different Comedy Clubs in the greater Seattle area.
  • Our Voice Acting classes meet online, but we’ll also be offering some in-person voice classes soon.

Acting 101: The Basics 

This introductory workshop is a great place to start learning about acting and developing your acting skills — whether you’ve done a some acting in the past, or are brand new and never acted before.

In this class, students will learn how to bring a script to life by exploring their character’s motivation. In this class, students will learn how to express emotions more naturally and easily on stage or in front of a camera. Acting in a 48 Hour Movie

Career Paths for Actors 

This workshop is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in acting. Students will learn how to prepare for an audition, choose the right material, and deliver a memorable performance.
